Course Overview
This comprehensive online course is designed to equip massage therapists with the knowledge and hands-on instruction needed to incorporate spa services into their existing practice. Approved for 16 continuing education hours by NCBTMB, this course focuses on a dry room technique that is increasingly popular in the massage industry.
The course covers the process of applying warm towels to specific body parts, followed by exfoliation that begins with the client in a face-down position. After exfoliating the back, the client is turned over for treatment on the front side. Warm mud is then applied, and the body is wrapped in a plastic sheet, thermal blanket, and additional coverings for a 15-minute rest period. The treatment concludes with the removal of the mud using warm towels, followed by rehydration for the client.
